La prima 'radiografia' dell'Etna
(ANSA) – ROMA, 10 MAG – Realizzata la prima 'radiografia' dell'Etna: le cause del suo 'scivolamento' verso il mare sono dovute allo sgretolarsi di una porzione della sua base. Lo studio, pubblicato sulla rivista internazionale Journal of Geophysical Research e realizzato congiuntamente da quattro enti di ricerca italiani con il coordinamento dell'Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (Ingv), ha permesso per la prima volta di creare una 'foto' del sottosuolo del vulcano siciliano.
