Italian MPs to write EU counterparts on marines case

PMassimiliano Latorre and Salvatore Girone are awaiting indictments in the shooting deaths of Valentine (aka Gelastine) and Ajesh Binki, two Indian fishermen, in February 2012. They opened fire on their fishing trawler, alleging they mistook it for a pirate vessel, while guarding the privately owned Italian-flagged oil-tanker MT Enrica Lexie off the coast of Kerala./PPIndia has been mulling whether to charge them under an anti-terrorism law, sparking an international outcry including from the EU.
