Fluorite
This piece has the least color of any fluorite in this update, and yet I cannot take my eyes off of it. It has a mesmerizing complexity, and is highly unusual for this district. It looks more like a Russian piece? But this is an excellent, multi-generation Fluorite from the Denton Mine. The first generation was yellow and sharp; followed by a generation that was more blue and strangely ?cloudy,? so that it is sharply defined as a color zone and yet not sharp on the edges, at the same time; and then it was overgrown by gemmy pastel blue Fluorite. Within, as you look closely, are numerous phantoms and color zones. Between generations of fluorite growth, a group of lustrous and large (up to 1.2 cm) Ruby Jack Sphalerites grew on the yellow Fluorite.
