Brussels closes four infraction procedures against Italy

Brussels closes four infraction procedures against Italy (ANSA) – Brussels, October 18 – The European Commission said Friday that it had closed four infraction procedures against Italy over the environment. The issues that have been solved concern EU directives on bathing water, used batteries, flooding and nitrates.

The procedures were originally opened because Italy had failed to apply European laws to its legislation.

The environment directorate-general recommended the closure of the procedures after verifying their implementation.
