815 doses of cocaine found stashed in ladies’ heels
(ANSA) – Cerignola, December 4 – A 20-year-old traveler in Cerignola, a town near the southern Italian city of Foggia, was arrested after police discovered 240 grams of cocaine stashed in a pair of soaring high heels, investigators said Wednesday.
Drug-sniffing dogs helped root out the incriminating ladies shoes, which were packed in a suitcase among luggage for a bus bound for Germany.
The cocaine stash tucked in a pair of 12-centimetre heels was enough for 815 doses.
Salvatore Granillo was placed in handcuffs. Two other people were also arrested on drug charges in Cerignola, investigators said. Stefano Brandusio, 25, was charged with illegal drug possession after a store of 20 grams of cocaine and a precision scale were found in an abandoned chapel in the town cemetery.
Matteo Martiradonna, 23, was arrested after police found in his home 28 grams of cocaine, part of which had already been subdivided and packaged in doses.
